Tonight, I had to phone UPS to arrange collection of a faulty item for return & repair, having no choice but to use the carrier pre-chosen by the items maker, I dialled the number, and went through their automated system. After 15 minutes on hold, I got cut-off.
Needing to get the item picked-up, I redialled. This time when the automated voice said 'Press 9 on your keypad now', I stayed silent. After 10 seconds, I was asked to confirm wether or not I had an account with UPS. After selecting the 'no account' option, I was put straight through to a customer services agent.
