Nuisance phone calls.

Over the last month, I have been plagued by phone calls from the following no. -

05148455000, called me 17 times over 5 days, each time the caller hung-up.
Finally got to speak to someone on the 17th call. Turns-out the company is -
AXA RE Canada
Place Montréal Trust
1800 McGill College Avenue
Bureau 2000
Montréal, Québec H3A 3J6
Phone: +1 514 842 9262
Fax: +1 514 842 9254

If you are called repeatadly by these people, then it is possible to registere a complaint at -

Canadian Council of Better Business Bureaus.
If you know where the calls are coming from i.e. Canada or USA you can file
a complaint or get on the No Call List for Canada which is launching Sept 30
at www.LNNTE-DNCL.gc.ca
The BBB North American database found at www.bbb.org will tell you if the
company has complaints, if it is a BBB Accredited Business or file a
complaint. There are also news letters and alerts about the various scams in
North America you may wish to read such as Advanced Fee Loan Scams,
Sweepstake Lottery winner or Secret Shopper Scams.
If the business is located in one of 14 Canadian BBB territories you will
need to check www.ccbbb.ca click 'seek advice from your local BBB' click
the province and chose a BBB. The local BBB will be happy to assist you with
an inquiry, complaint or company report.
If you learn that the business is located outside of North American another
good resource is www.econsumer.gov where consumers from all over the world
can file a complaint, get tips on shopping and consumer protection in other
countries and learn how to contact consumer protection authorities in other
countries.

Since I told the salesperson that I am entitled to free healthcare in my country they have not phoned-back.
