Bought some 'Rapid ice clear' from Aldi last week in an attempt to keep a clear path from my front door to my car. The product claims to 'Clear ice and snow on contact', however, all it does is just sit there on top of the ice and snow doing absolutely nothing.
Even after the temperature rose enough to start to thaw the snow, the product still refused to work, instead, sinking to the bottom of the ice-melt like a rock.
My paths are now clear of ice, but the 'Rapid ice clear' still sits on the now ice-free path doing absolutely nothing at all (except being carted into the house on the soles of our shoes.
To be honest, I would have been better-off putting-down kitty-litter as I feel it would be way more effective.
